The new online baby goods directory ‘babyology’ has featured one of evie lala’s products!
They were also kind enough to comment on our wrapping.
The new Little Joey Organics range are a stylish and functional new range of baby skin products.
100% Australian made and owned, using organic ingredients free of chemicals, they feature Australian Bush flower essences and are gentle for your bub’s skin.
They make a beautiful gift and come in stylish dark amber containers. The range currently includes baby soap, bath wash, moisturizer, powder and bottom balm.
I was lucky enough to receive some of the bottom balm which has worked wonders on my baby’s nappy rash and has a lovely lavender scent rather than the medicinal smells of many other nappy creams. It can be used all over babies skin and is packed with shea butter to soften and protect skin.
The range is available from Evie Lala and priced very reasonably at $17.95 – $22.95. The wrapping and presentation when purchasing a gift from Evie Lala is stunning.

… for your family and child

Evie Lala Sleep Dogs are recommended by Night Nannies.
Commit to working with these eight ideas and you”ll likely see improvements in your child”s sleep, and yours too. There are some fabulous tools you can use for your child to help them get through any separation anxiety and to establish a great sleeping pattern for your 6 months and older child.
When your child is showing signs of anxiety such as not wanting you to leave them alone when they go to sleep or a fear of their room, Night Nannies recommends trying the following techniques and tools:
Bedtime Consistency
Have a consistent bedtime routine with the same routine every night such as, play, dinner, bath, massage, teeth, story in room and bed.
Routine Routine
A routine does not have to be like a regimental Army schedule but should be about consistency and working around your child’s individual needs and sleep times as much as possible. A routine helps set your Childs body clock and helps you know what to expect. You can have some flexibility around your routine but will need to try and maintain sleep areas and times as much as possible during the day and night to maintain good sleeping patterns.
Quality time with Mum and Dad
Spend quality time with both parents and your child in the evening or when you can daily prior to the bedtime routine. This time is important and should be an enjoyable and relaxing time for everyone.
Nutrition and exercise
These two things are really important for your Childs development from newborn with tummy time through to your older child crawling, grabbing, sitting up and walking. This will help your child to grow, develop and burn some energy as well as start to reach important millstones. Nutrition is equally important making sure your child has the correct amount of milk and solids during the day and that formula is made correctly and Mums who are breastfeeding get to rest, eat and play and/or work so their bodies can continue to create their Childs full daily requirements of breast milk.
A Cosy Room
When you are creating a safe, warm and inviting room for your child to sleep in you can make your child’s bedroom into this cosy haven by spending calm, enjoyable time in their bedroom with them during the day or evening reading a story or playing with their toys so that their bedroom is not just the scary place they are banished to at the end of the day.
Night Nannies recommends Sleep dogs for your child from 6 months by Evie Lala which were designed with some of Night Nannies requirements in mind such as double safety stitching, ears for chewing and sucking, easy to grasp and not too big and not too small, just right for little hands to hold as a “lovey toy”.
Night Nannies provides specialised Sleep Guidance services Australia wide for children of all ages and general Nanny services to meet every family’s needs.

I wanted to show off the wonderful cot quilt my talented Mum made for Evie during my pregnancy. We chose the fabrics together, with some valuable help from Tarsh.
I fell in love with the fabric that Mum used for the centre of the quilt – it has boy and girl Cowboys and?Ǭ† Indian’s on it.
What a clever Grandma Evie has! Hours of love have been poured into this quilt.?Ǭ† I especially love that the quilt stitching around the centre fabric is sewn in star shapes – very cool.
Of course I couldn’t help showing off some evie lala toys at the same time…
Tarsh is now almost 39 weeks pregnant – wow!
We all had a giggle the other day as 4 of us (Tarsh & I, and our husbands) struggled for the better part of 20 mins to work out how to collapse the bubby’s new pram. Much frustration was had and a few creative words were uttered under a few people’s breath.
The instruction manual was investigated by all 4 of us, causing more rather than less annoyance and puzzlement. Looking at it upside down was just as fruitless.
Eventually the solution was discovered (once the idea of cutting the frame with a hacksaw was voted against) by turning the pram upside down. The tabs we had all been pulling up were inscribed with the word “press”.
Ooops!
A first taste of the world of parenting…
It’s Evie’s 1st birthday in a couple of weeks – how did that happen???
Very exciting and scary at the same time!
I’ve decided to make the cake for Evie’s party. We keeping it simple, but I have an idea in my head about making a cake, so cake there shall be! Evie loves dogs – ‘woof’ is one of her first words (not sure if that should worry me). Naturally then, I’m making a dog cake. I’m always up for a good challenge!
Only, the thing is… it’s a really busy time of year for our families, and for very good reasons people can’t all make it on the same day.
Our solution… 3 parties! Not big parties or anything, just a small group at each.
So, I’m making 3 birthday cakes. The freezer is being taken over with cake.
mmmmmm
The kitchen smells lovely, and I’m getting more than my fair share of cake mixture to indulge with. Maybe 3 parties is a good idea!
This beautiful model is Ava – one of our very cute customers. It seems someone like ’s her new jumper… and knows how to pose for a modeling shoot!
Thank you to Amy (Ava’s Mum) for Ava’s pics.
