Model Evie wearing her isi-B outfit…

Well, I wish I was!

Somehow basic tasks become major efforts when you have a little person clinging to your legs and constantly begging to be held. I suspect the world is much more interesting from a higher view – either that or Evie really loves a free ride around the house!

Anyway, my point is that it surprises me how difficult it can be just to do simple things such as feed yourself as a Mum. Relying on baby sleep times can be a disappointing habit. Preparing and eating one handed whilst contorting to keep the infant on your hip or lap over an arms length from the food and plates could qualify any Mum for a job in the circus. I’m sure it must be quite amusing to watch.

So, to all the Mum’s (and Dad’s) out there trying to eat and parent at the same time – good luck, and may you eat well.

Belleze

evie lala has been proud to stock the adjustable belleze belly tubes. We are now excited to be able to stock the original belleze belly tubes as well.

If you’re pregnant or breastfeeding your baby, and don’t want to have to invest in a lot of maternity or nursing clothes (that let’s face it are often unattractive anyway!), then our belly tubes will be perfect for you.

They are designed to sit just under the bra line, filling the gap between your top and your skirt or pants. Now any top can be a maternity top!

If you want to be able wear anything from your wardrobe while you’re breastfeeding your baby, the belleze allows you to do so without leaving your tummy bare.

Not sure whether to go Original or Adjustable?
All the belleze belly tubes have a bit of stretch in them, but the adjustable has a lot more room to allow for an expanding pregnant belly and the adjustable elastic. The original fits a bit more snug… so we recommend the adjustable if you are pregnant, and the original if you are buying only for post-pregnancy.

Discover why the belleze belly tube is the maternity and breastfeeding clothing of choice in New Zealand…

Bee and Tree organic clothes for babies was inspired by the classic children’s tale “The Secret Garden” – the story of a little girl who discovers a lush garden beyond locked walls where thousands of animals and plants are vibrantly alive.

As a baby wear range this theme translates into comfortable clothing that is made in an ecologically sensitive way – avoiding the use of the run of the mill toxic insecticides used in cotton production. Bee and Tree cotton is SKAL certified organic. In this way, people, plants and the greater environment are respected.

Little creatures are featured in this Bee and Tree range through the artwork of Jane Reiseger. Kiki caterpillar and Mimi the Mouse wriggle their way across our garments, completing “the garden” with a playful touch.

Bee and Tree is an Australian company.

Evie has teeth!
Well… rather, she has ‘tooth’.

Much celebration is to be had!

It’s taken 10 months and a lot of teething symptoms, but she finally has a tooth. And by the looks of her swollen gums the tooth’s neighbour won’t be long behind in it’s breakthrough.

Sleepless nights, grumpy days, sudden nappy rash, ear infections…
Isn’t it amazing how many things we can attribute to teething? There seem to be soooo many possible symptoms for babies as there teeth fight their way through, and each child seems to get their own mix of those symptoms. You see a Child Health Nurse or a Doctor and the answer to almost everything seems to be ‘teething’.

Thank goodness we don’t remember the process when we get older.

Just a second… she’ll need a whole set… oh my!
